Metro Catering & Concessions

Metro Catering & Concessions, Inc. has a unique opportunity to provide food brokering, catering, and concessions to some of Washington DC's premier events and sporting events venues like Verizon Center, Washington DC Convention Center, the Nationals Park, DC United, and various large scale offices complexes that require on site catering for high end tenants. We will do this all while providing much needed jobs to the Washington DC area. Jay has the experience that he gained by helping to build catering for Firehouse Subs and IHOP. This experience has adequately prepared for this opportunity.

Metro Catering & Concessions, Inc. has procured the services of two restaurant and catering veterans with over 40 years of combined experience. One of our consultants has experience in setting up a restaurant business buying group and will help guide MC&C to set up a brokering service for fulfilling catering clients' various needs from just needing a quick casual sandwich to a high end black tie vendors, sub-contractors, and facilities

Muhammad "Jay" Junaid

Muhammad Junaid started working for McDonald's when he was young and moved up to become a supervisor. After 5 years as a manager at McDonald's he started employment as a Unit Manager of a quick service franchise and then moved positions to be Manager of Non-Traditional Sales which, included operating Food Trucks and concession stands at multiple high-profile locations including: Including truck & catering events at American Red Cross, RFK Stadium, FEMA, NIH (National Institute of Health), NIST (National Institute of Standards and technology), Fort Belvoir Military Base Fort McNair, Military Base, National Guard, Fort Myers Military Base Kaiser Permanente, Pepco, Maryland School Systems, Holly Cross Hospitals, Shady Grove Hospitals, Walmart, Target, KOHLS, Sams Club, Best Buy, Amazon, the Washington DC Convention Center. It was at this time that he learned of the needs that Aramark and Levy Group had for additional food vendors and so now the new adventure begins with excitement.

Food Service Specialist/Subsistence Supply/Marine Corps Security Forces/Small Arms Weapon Instructor/Enlisted Aide

Jesse Camacho brings extensive leadership & culinary expertise accumulated over a 28 year career in the United States Marine Corp. Throughout his military career Jesse Camacho demonstrated exceptional leadership on different missions. Camacho managed day to day operations, maintenance, vendors, and logistical needs of high level functions. He executed receptions for multiple members of the State Senate, Distinguished Guests and Civic Leaders of the local community. Single handedly planned, prepared, all high level functions, formal breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and receptions totaling over 100 events and 3000 guests. Camacho was also instrumental in establishing a training program to train Food Service Marines in the proper operation and management of a Commanding Generals residence. Planned multiple catering events with 2500 plus guest in attendance, coordinated a Food Service Competition for 6 ½ years involving 80 military chefs, and VIP Chefs. The latter resulted in instant relations with military chefs from the other services and economic growth for Main Street Barracks Washington DC.

MGySgt Camacho has also attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York for continuing education classes related to food service, both basic and advanced. He is currently involved with the Military Hospitality Alliance, He holds multiple certifications to include: Certified Household Manager from Starkey International, Master Certified Food Executive-IFSEA/MHA, Certified Food Manager-IFSEA/MHA, HACCP Certified-IFSEA/MHA

MGySgt Camacho retired in November 2013 after 28 years of active service and was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal. MGySgt Camacho's decorations include the Legion of Merit Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star in lieu of 2nd award, Navy Commendation Medal with 3 Gold Stars in lieu of 4th award, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star in lieu of 2nd award, and Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with one Silver Star and 3 bronze stars in lieu of 9th award, National Defense Medal with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Citation with Bronze Cluster, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Citation with Silver Star, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 4 bronze stars, and Overseas Ribbon with 2 bronze stars.

MGySgt (Ret) Camacho also served as the Director of Retail at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for 5 years. Mr. Camacho supervised, planned, and executed all the retail foodservice operations at the DC Convention Center. Has assisted the operations teams with multiple events and receptions for the President of the United States, Congressional Caucus's and recently the Nuclear Safety Summit hosting 57 World leaders. Mr. Camacho has received the following certifications during his time at the Convention Center. ServSafe Instructor, NEHA Food Safety Instructor, DC Food Service Manager and TIP's Instructor.
